Vermilion Energy Trust continued the name of our predecessor oil and gas company, Vermilion Resources Ltd. The name originated from Alberta’s Vermilion Lakes, a reflection of their reddish ochre waters. The strong colour of vermilion, which is made up of red, orange and yellow, reflects the company – vibrant energy trust brightening unitholders portfolios through distinctive assets and strategic depth.
