About Vermilion

Lorenzo Donadeo, P.Eng. President, CEO & Director

Experience: More than 25 years experience in the oil and gas business, including mergers and acquisitions, gas marketing, production, exploitation and field operations in western Canada and internationally. Lorenzo was a co-founder of Vermilion Resources (1994), which has grown into a $2.2 billion enterprise. Lorenzo served as the Chief Operating Officer of Vermilion when the company made its initial international forays into France (1997) and Trinidad (1999) and became President and CEO of Vermilion in 2003.

John Donovan, F.C.A. Executive Vice President Business Development

Experience: More than 30 years of industry experience. John is a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in international business development, A&D, negotiations and M&A. Prior to joining Vermilion in March 2005 John advised many clients on upstream A&D / M&A opportunities in North and South America and Asia with Harrison Lovegrove (now Standard Chartered Bank). Prior to that, John spent 24 years with ConocoPhillips responsible for international business development, acquisitions and dispositions, farmins and farmouts, financial management and control, joint venture management, strategy and portfolio management & investment appraisal.

John Donovan

Curtis W. Hicks, C.A. Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer

Experience: More than 25 years of industry experience, primarily in the financial area of oil and gas operations, as well as property and corporate acquisitions. VP Finance & CFO with ELAN Energy Inc. from 1983 to 1997 as ELAN was grown from 200 bbls/d to over 35,000 bbls/d. Chief Executive Officer of a junior oil and gas company, Caravan Oil & Gas Ltd from 1998 to 2000. From 2000 to 2003, Curtis was the VP Finance & CFO with NAL Oil & Gas Trust.

G. R. (Bob) Mac Dougall, P.Eng. Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer

Experience: More than 20 years of industry experience, Bob is a Professional Engineer with a strong background in drilling, production and exploitation from ChevronTexaco. Worked in the drilling and completions department in Canada and the United States for 7 years, involved in both onshore and offshore drilling and completions engineering and operations. Production engineering experience for a large water/miscible flood field before moving into exploitation and asset management. Spent 4 years as General Manager of Production and Operations for ChevronTexaco's Western Canada producing properties with responsibility for production, exploitation, operations and HS&E.

Experience: Several years as a production engineer with Gulf Oil Exploration and Production Company and Chevron USA Inc. before moving to Canada in 1986. Investment analyst for a variety of investment companies in Montreal and Calgary for more than 15 years. Extensive knowledge of the energy industry, capital markets and the North American investment community.

Paul L. Beique

Mona Jasinski, M.B.A., C.H.R.P. Vice President People

Experience: Brings 20 years of human resources and organizational effectiveness experience, primarily in the Oil and Gas Industry including operations and mergers & acquisitions. Prior to Vermilion, Mona was the HR Manager for Shell Onshore Production, North America. Previous experience includes Management Consulting, Learning and Development and H.R. Generalist roles, which encompasses areas such as HR People / Strategy, Workforce Planning, Succession Planning, Leadership Effectiveness, Recruiting and Policy Development.

Mona Jasinski

Raj C. Patel, P. Eng. Vice President Marketing

Experience: More than 30 years of oil and gas industry experience in domestic and international crude oil and natural gas marketing and commodity price risk management. Held senior level marketing positions in Calgary with two large E & P companies. Established a consulting company providing oil and gas marketing services to various small and mid-cap companies marketing crude oil, natural gas liquids and natural gas in the North American market place. Raj has served Vermilion as VP Marketing since 2000.

Daniel Goulet, P.Eng. Director Production and Operations

Experience: Brings 20 years of domestic and international experience in oil and gas in Canada, Gabon and France. He held senior positions in reservoir, production and operations engineering at PanCanadian Petroleum Limited and was in-country Operations Manager in Gabon for PanAfrican Energy. Daniel has been with Vermilion’s French organization for 7 years and held the Operations and Engineering Manager position prior to becoming in-country Managing Director. On March 1, 2008, Daniel returned to Canada and holds the position of Director Production and Operations.

Cameron A. Hercus Director Exploitation and New Growth

Experience: More than 15 years of industry experience, Cameron is a Petroleum Engineer with a strong background in reservoir engineering and field development, with Marathon Oil, Paladin Resources and Shell Expro working in the UK North Sea. The last 4 were spent working in both Marathon Oil and Vermilion Energy Business Development departments evaluating opportunities across N. America and Western Europe.

Cameron Hercus

Dean N. Morrison, CFA Director Investor Relations

Experience: Dean is an experienced investor relations professional with over 14 years of financial, operational and analytical experience across large and small capitalization companies in the oil and gas production, transportation, real estate and industrial sectors. Prior to joining Vermilion, Mr. Morrison worked on the development of key strategies to maximize shareholder value while in senior investor relations roles at a variety of publically traded companies and royalty trusts in addition to equity sales and marketing roles in the private equity sector. Mr. Morrison is a past Director and Treasurer for the Alberta Chapter of the Canadian Investor Relations Institute (CIRI).
Education: Bachelor's degree in Commerce and Finance from the Haskayne School of Business and the Chartered Financial Analyst designation from the CFA Institute.

Peter Sider, P.Eng. Vice President European Operations

Experience: Brings 27 years of industry experience with a strong background in drilling, completions, production engineering and construction. Previously Peter was Vice President Operations / Engineering and COO of Grad and Walker Energy Corporation followed by President of Netherfield Energy Corporation, an Alberta based public company with operations in Argentina. Peter has helped found four private and public companies in the last six years including Resolution Resources, EMBO Petroleum, Newheart Oil & Gas and Breakside Energy.

Scott Ferguson, P.Eng. Director European Operations

Experience: Scott is a Professional Engineer with 30 years of broad experience in facilities, completions, exploitation and production in both large integrated and small producing companies in Western Canada. He has gained international experience in France and the Netherlands since joining Vermilion in 2003. Scott has served as production manager for Vermilion in Canada since 2006 with responsibility for production, exploitation, operations and HS&E.

David Burghardt, P.Eng. Director Exploitation - Europe

Experience: Brings 23 years of industry experience with a background in all industry functions particularly asset exploitation, reservoir management and production engineering. Previously David was President/CEO/Director of Kerogen Petroleum Ltd (presently Twin Butte Energy Ltd.) and previously Managing Director - International Engineering for Equatorial Energy Inc., an Alberta based public company with operations in Canada & Indonesia. David has helped found two Alberta based companies in the last 12 years including Kerogen Petroleum Ltd. (private) and Bison Resources Ltd. (public) where he held the position of VP Engineering/Director.

Dave Burghardt

Bruce Lake, P.Eng. Managing Director, Vermilion Oil & Gas (Australia)

Experience: Brings 30 years industry experience in offshore and onshore Australian and New Zealand producing basins primarily in Technical and Operational/Asset Management roles. Bruce has spent the last ten years as Operations Manager for Apache Energy in Australia. Previously Operations Manager/Asset Manager for Ampolex through the expansion of Wandoo A and Engineering and Design and Development of Wandoo B. Was a drilling manager for Santos/Delhi in onshore Cooper Basin followed by supervising engineer-drilling for Esso's Base Strait Bream development and workover production enhancement program followed by operations manager for WMC's Carnavon Basin and New Zealand operated assets.
