Community Investment

Each year, Vermilion continues to demonstrate commitment to the care of our people and the environment by enriching the communities where we live and work.

An example of this is Energy in Action - an environmental stewardship program of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP).

For three weeks every May, a team of local volunteers from the energy sector visits school children in select communities to participate in education sessions and schoolyard environmental renewal projects.

In April 2010, we visited two schools in Drayton Valley - Evergreen Elementary and Eldorado Drayton Christian School.

We were Team Lead on the 2008 Energy in Action initiative in Delburne, AB where company volunteers helped Grade 4 and 5 students from Delburne Centralized School plant 100 trees throughout their schoolyard.
