- Hockey Helps the Homeless
Since 2009, Vermilion Energy has been the lead sponsor at the annual Hockey Helps the Homeless Calgary Tournament, contributing a total $75,000 to this initiative.
Launched in 1996, this volunteer-driven national fundraising organization partners with NHL alumni and the local business community to organize single-day fantasy hockey tournaments sponsored by regional and national corporations.
Since its inception, Hockey Helps the Homeless has fundraised over $3.5 million in support of more than 18,000 homeless men, women and youth across Canada.
Hockey Helps the Homeless is active in Calgary, Montreal, Niagra, Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver.
