The Professional Equality Index between women and men, which measures pay inequalities within companies with at least 50 employees, has been implemented since 2018 by the Law for the Freedom to Choose one’s Professional Future. Its goal is to eliminate pay gaps between genders. Each year, companies must calculate this index and publish the obtained score.
Vermilion France has made the fight against discrimination central to its human resources practices and CSR strategy, requiring all employees to reject discrimination. The company considers the promotion of gender equality in the workplace to be non-negotiable.
With 130 employees, Vermilion France has published its gender equality index for 2022 with a total score of 75/100. The company is working to define improvement objectives for each indicator where the maximum score has not yet been achieved.
As part of its sustainable development policy and its desire to assess its CSR maturity, Vermilion France obtained the AFNOR label “Committed to CSR – confirmed level” in 2020 (level 3 out of 4) for a period of 3 years. In April 2022, following the mid-term follow-up assessment, Vermilion is proud to have maintained this level of performance, and is committed to maintaining its efforts as part of a continuous improvement process.
AFNOR “Committed to CSR” is an internationally recognized label, based on a demanding evaluation system which assesses the integration of ISO 26000 principles in the strategy and management of the organization (such as operational and management practices, code of business conduct, respect for international foundational protocols).
