Internship Programme

Each summer, through the Internship Programme, Vermilion will offer paid practical work experience at the Bellanaboy Bridge Gas Terminal to third level students. We are now accepting applications through until March 20, 2020 to four students studying the following disciplines:

Scholarship Programme

The Corrib Gas Partners provide two scholarship programmes for students in Erris, Co. Mayo.

Third Level Scholarship & Irish Language Scholarship: COVID-19 Update

The Third Level Scholarship programme is open for applications. The closing date for applications is Friday 7th of May. If you have any difficulties applying please get in touch with us.

More information on the Irish Language Scholarships will be available in April when the current Level 5 COVID-19 restrictions are reviewed.

Third Level Scholarships

The Third Level Scholarship programme has supported over 140 young people to continue their studies at a third level institute. 

The programme is exclusive to the students of the four secondary schools in Erris, Co. Mayo (Coláiste Chomain, Ros Dumhach, Our Lady’s Secondary School, Belmullet, St. Brendan’s Secondary College, Belmullet and St. Patrick’s College, Lacken Cross).

The scholarships are available to successful applicants for the first year of study of their chosen third level course and are valued at €3,000.

Applicants are required to submit a personal essay and sit a themed essay.

Irish Language Scholarships

Launched in 2012, the Irish Language Scholarship supports young people to further their study of the Irish language. There are ten scholarships available to attend an Irish language summer course at Coláiste Mhaigh Eo or U.I.S.C.E.

The programme is open to students from the four secondary schools in Erris (Coláiste Chomain, Ros Dumhach, Our Lady’s Secondary School, Belmullet, St. Brendan’s Secondary College, Belmullet and St. Patrick’s College, Lacken Cross).

The Irish Language Scholarship progamme is currently closed for applications.

Local Grants Programme

The Local Grants Programme is open to community and voluntary organisations in Erris. It supports a wide range of projects, services and activities including community development, environmental conservation, education and combatting rural/social isolation and unemployment. Since 2007, more than 150 local organisations have benefitted. Grants of up to €5,000 are available to projects and organisations that are local, inclusive and sustainable.

Environmental Stewardship Programme

We are looking to partner with an organisation to support an environmental conservation and/or biodiversity project. A grant of €5,000 is available. The ideal project will help preserve and protect habitats in Erris with a focus on promoting biodiversity.

Emergency Responder Programme

Does your organisation support emergency response in Erris? This programme funds local, non-profit emergency response organisations that are committed to keeping our community safe. A grant of €7,000 is available.
