France
France was Vermilion’s first international expansion when we entered the country in 1997.
Today, Vermilion is France’s largest oil producer, constituting approximately two-thirds of the domestic oil production.
France
Located in the Aquitaine and Paris Basins, our assets are characterized by large original oil in place conventional fields with high working interests and a low base decline rate. Since our initial entry into France, we have completed three additional acquisitions, making significant investments in the country for the benefit of our Stakeholders. Vermilion has two main offices in France, one located near Paris and the other near Bordeaux.

North America
In Canada, Vermilion is focused on developing liquids-rich gas assets in the Deep Basin and Montney. Vermilion is one of the largest producers in the highly productive Deep Basin in Western Alberta. In addition, we hold a contiguous Montney land position in the Peace River Arch in British Columbia and Alberta. In the United States, Vermilion has a significant land position in the promising Turner Sand play in the Powder River Basin. Our North American assets represent approximately 70% of our total corporate production.

Europe
Vermilion’s European assets consist of onshore and offshore operations that deliver premium commodity pricing through Brent-priced light oil production and European natural gas prices trade at a significant premium to North American benchmarks. Our European assets contribute approximately 25% of total corporate production.

Australia
Vermilion holds a 100% working interest in the Wandoo field, offshore Australia. Vermilion’s Australian oil production receives premium pricing due to Brent-indexing and the strong, long-term, strategic relationships we have cultivated with our key customers in the region.
